Schedule of Weekend Volunteer Days

UPDATED: Here’s our updated volunteer field schedule.  Two shifts on Saturdays - come anytime after 8, up till noon, and count on at least a 2 hour shift. We will provide water,  Kabbalah energy drinks, and restrooms - the fields need your talent and your energy - please come out and help!

Saturday, Sept 16: 8am - 4pm (two shifts): 30 Volunteers Needed and 35 provided :-)!
Draw sprinkler control wires - done
Finish main line installation - done
Install power cable in sprinkler trench - done
Backfill main line trench
- mostly done
Collect and remove debris and rocks from all fields done
Relocate western fence, replace with tall fence - done
Mark lateral line locations - rescheduled for next week
Last debris removal off Football Practice field - done

Saturday and Sunday, Sept 23-24 FIELD HOCKEY and CHEER TEAM DAYS 30 Volunteers needed - 55 Provided!
Trench sprinkler laterals (continue) - started
Finish main line trenching - almost done
Install drinking water line - done
Debris removal completion - done
Paint sprinkler laterals - done
Install sprinkler laterals - rescheduled for next weekend
Fence Repairs - progress made

During this week:  Complete Sprinkler lateral trenching
                              Remove Concrete Bins
                              Grade Football Practice Field
                              Regrade access road
                              Soccer seating wall shaped                

Saturday Sept 30 8am - 3pm: SOFTBALL TEAM DAY
Sunday, Oct 1: 8am - 2pm: SOCCER TEAM DAY
Bring shovels, hoes, rakes, GLOVES, digging bars, a wheelbarrow

Install sprinkler laterals (complete)
Complete valve installation
Complete Football Practice Main Line
Paint and Trench Football Practice laterals
Set Valve Boxes and Backfill Trenches
Set Sprinkler Heads
Complete Control Wire Connections
Measure final field planting: sod, seed, slope areas

During this week:  Irrigation systems wired, tested and completed 

Saturday and Sunday, October 7-8 - 8am - noon - Open Volunteer Days
Fortification of Perimeter Fencing
Final adjustments of irrigation system
All other last details

October 9 - 23: Sequence of planting preparation and planting (irrigation system usage, fine grading, compost addition and mixing, smoothing, and placement) 

Rumor has it Channel 10 will be filming the sod placement!
