We welcome all volunteers this weekend to help. If you come on Saturday, you must show a parking pass to get into the Field of Dreams area - or just offer a donation to the Craft Fair and come out to the back area. Sunday the parking will be as it usually is. For a Field of Dreams parking pass, email Larry Masuoka at masuoka@pacbell.net.
Saturday we need help with sprinklers, especially setting the valve cover vaults and backfilling. Bring shovels, saws and gloves, and you’ll be prepared to help.
Sunday we will focus on installing the last of the conduit for soccer’s future scoreboard; shovels and gloves will be helpful then.
Both days, if we have the trenches and sprinkler work covered, we could also use help with:
- pitch forks, rakes and wheelbarrows to carry compost up to the top of the hill and spread it on the weeds. We need to move the compost out of the way by next weekend, when the temporary fence goes up.
- gloves, pliers and muscle to begin transferring fencing from the west boundary to the track area, to reinforce the walkway along the Gum Ranch pedestrian entrance.
On Saturday, check in with Jim Hartley; on Sunday, with Mike Strombeck or Tom Putnam. Make sure your team is counted!
