A scourge is advancing - the dreaded yellow-flowered Burr Clover!
If we don’t stop it now, it will cover the seeded fields, and grow into the sodded fields!
If we let it grow, it will stick to your socks and pants, and be painful to walk barefoot on.
SO WE ARE NOT GOING TO LET IT GROW!
April is the month we need to pull all the weeds - and 60 volunteers donating 2 hours of time each is all we need. Be one of them! Have your team be lots of them!
E-mail jhartley07@gmail.com with who pulled how many weeds over how long a time, and you’ll be entered in the BCRC.*
If you can bring a long-bladed screwdriver (or even better, a shovel and a friend - it goes really fast that way) and a bag, then all you’ll need is these instructions:
*Burr Clover Removal Contest - all participants who email jhartley07@gmail.com with the name of weed-pullers, how many bags or buckets of weeds they pulled, and how long they worked, will be entered once for every hour of work into a drawing for a prize on May 11 - something fun or delicious or random! At least one winner will be chosen, and probably more.
