Job Opening: BVHS Field of Dreams Field Coordinator
The BVHS Athletic Booster Club led the efforts to improve the Stadium facility and All-Weather Track in 2001, and the fields surrounding Bronco Hill in 2006. In exchange for SJUSD support for these projects, the Booster Club agreed to be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of these fields. Generally, athletic fields maintained by volunteers are acknowledged to provide superior athletic competition surfaces in comparison to the fields not maintained by parent volunteers.
For three years, Jim Hartley has been serving in the role of Field of Dreams Field Coordinator for the Booster Club. After next year, when his son graduates, his term will “expire”, and it will be time for another volunteer or group of volunteers to carry forward on behalf of the field areas we parents are responsible for. Duties, responsibilities and rewards are described below; if you have any interest, please contact Jim at 987-8373 or jhartley07@gmail.com. Jim looks forward to hearing from you, and working with you over the 2009-10 school year! (more…)
