The Fields are Calling

The fields are waking up from the cold and wet winter, and getting ready for Spring Competition.

The fields are there to be used. But too wet, and they may not grow as strong as they might before the spikes hit. The one thing we can do to maintain the fields so they are in playing condition not only for this season, but for future seasons to come, is to do everything in our power to help the fields grow to fill in bare spots, when they get a chance.

You’ll have your chance to help on:

Sunday, February 28, 8am - Noon. Major field work day, cleaning the stadium, weed whacking slopes, performing aeration, seeding and fertilizing, conducting needed plumbing improvements for field and slope water supply. Students who need Community Service hours can get them at this event!

Thanks go to coaches David, Dave and Don for volunteering their Lacrosse and Track teams to be the backbone for these field days!

And thanks to Les and Stephen for braving the January fog to start the Spring Field Care, one Saturday morning not too long ago. It won’t be that cold on February 28th!
