Sunday, March 21 - save the date. You can make a difference!   The rains have come, but the mid-March week of the 15th-19th may just be week to set the Stadium and Bronco Hill fields for the Spring Care they need to grow strong and tough. They should be dry enough to work on, so we’re planning to:

  • Aerate
  • Fertilize with specialized mixes
  • Overseed
  • Adjust the irrigation heads to spray evenly

Come out on Sunday March 21.

Those who can come by 7:30 can set the flags on the irrigation heads so we don’t run over them with our one-ton aerator.

Those who come at 8:30 can load and transfer the bags and bags of specialized fertilizer and seed.

Those who come at 9:30 can begin to test and adjust irrigation heads, and can stay till noon to make sure the fields are left exactly as the athletes and teams will need them.

Bring gloves, wheelbarrows, rakes and brooms.  Whatever you can do, come and help. The fields need the care, and we are the ones to take care of them.Special thanks to parent volunteers Steve Fackler and Don Fagan for planning and securing the materials that will make the difference for the fields - this is not your ordinary mix we’re putting down, but one that would be how the best golf courses in our area would do it. So come out and learn something that will make a difference for your own front yard!
